Water, shade, and rest are human rights! National COSH’s Fired Up! Workers for Heat Justice campaign is building a growing movement of workers fighting for lifesaving protections from extreme heat on the job across the U.S. Right now, COSH worker leaders and organizers are driving campaigns with the potential to win stronger heat protections for more than 10 million workers. 

From municipal ordinances and state OSHA standards to industry protections, corporate accountability, and direct worker action, every strategy is on the table.  Workers are organizing, speaking out, and demanding protections that save lives: water, rest, shade, cooling, training, acclimatization, and the right to speak up without retaliation. This is how we win real protections, strengthen worker power, and build a future where no one has to risk their life for a paycheck.
